Okay, so not really off to the races, but we are up and running for 2010! We’ve got some really great things happening, which are going to revolve all around our new record which is currently in production. Sanja and I have been working on guitar tracks for the past couple weeks and we’re making some great progress! We’ll keep you posted with updates as we go along. All this studio work is coming at a great time, since its’ too damn cold to do anything outside! Have you been out lately? No matter where you are, I’m sure it’s cold. Central FL is supposed to be a warm and great vacation spot, right? yeah..sure…not at all. Come on amps…keep me warm!!!

Long time no see. First of all I want to thank all of you (the ones we know in person and those of you who we’ve not had a chance to meet) for writing us on a steady basis. You are keeping us encouraged. It blows that we had to put things on hold because of other people wasting our time and waiting for us to hand them things on a silver plate. It sucks that we made bad judgements and gave chances to people who don’t deserve them and are not willing to work for them. It sucks to realize that it would be a mirracle to run into someone that is as dedicated to music as Clint and I are, but quitting is not an option.
Life gave us lemons, so we’ll have to make a lemonade. The search for the new drummer is on again and so is one for a bassist, but this time it will be a bit different. In the meanwhile, Clint and I will be continuing this journey in a White Stripes kind of way :] So although there will not be any live electric shows for now, there will be some new music coming out soon. We are headed into the studio where Creed and Matchbox 20 recorded their music and will be woking with people who know what the hell they’re doing…so you get yourselves ready for some jaw-dropping changes. The good jaw-dropping of course. Stay in touch and thank you for being so supportive!

on Saturday I got the great opportunity to host the first ever Orlandobands.com networking party. If you weren’t there, it was a great time! We had over 20 bands playing, some great speakers and a huge host of Orlando’s music industry people. I myself made some great contacts, got to see some old friends and met plenty of new ones. Thanks to Ben @ Orlandobands.com to letting me make a fool of myself up on stage.

In the mean time, we’re looking for a bass player. We’ve picked up a great drummer, Brian Lindstrom, but are still down a bassist. Any of you out there know someone? if so, please send ‘em our way.

I’ve been hooked on the band Blind Pilot lately. If you haven’t heard ‘em, check out their disc ‘3 Rounds and a Sound’, it’s great chill music.

We’ve been working on a lot of new tunes. We’re hoping to get into the studio before too long and start working on the new stuff. Should would be a lot easier with a bassist (Ahem!).

Yes, it’s true. For those of you who don’t know, we’re out a drummer one more time. I’m not sure what has happened and why we’re cursed so. I guess every band has something that they can’t hang on to and in our case it’s a drummer. SOOO..that being said…anyone out there know a good one that would be interested in playing for us? let me know if you do!

yeah, I didn’t think so. Really, I’ve just been super busy and really haven’t had the time to post anything up here. TRUST ME…I’ve got good reasons. ALL SHALL BE TOLD! just not tonight. too sleepy. Our First Show.

Alright…that one’s out of the way. What do I mean? The first show featuring our new drummer, Eric. I have to admit (and it’s okay, I’ve already told the guys this, so you don’t have to run off and taddle on me), I was a little apprehensive and maybe a slight bit nervous going into the show on Friday. It felt (and you might know this feeling if you perform for people) the first show. Not just the first one in a while, but the first one with a new group or the first reading of a play or maybe even the first time you stand up in class and read your report on why carrots are orange and a sickly-yellow. Anyway, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I have to say, though, and I think you’ll agree (because you were there, right? Hmmm?) this guy kicks butt. He’s totally into the music and brings a straight-forward rock sound to our songs. I’m excited and ready to move forward. I feel now that there’s nothing going to stop this machine. Except maybe famine, disease and perhaps the unavoidable attraction to Monopoly. What? Eh..nothing, nevermind.

Anyway, some big ol’ exciting news, incase you haven’t heard. We’ve been selected for TWO (not one, never confuse two for one) battle of the bands. One is being sponsored by the rock station WJRR. It starts tomorrow and will be an online campaign. YOU will have to help us because we can only vote once. We’ll need you to vote and then pass the link around so that all the people that you know with a computer will be able to vote for us as well. Please and thank you.
The second is sponsored by Monster Energy Drink. This one will be based on live performances and a stack of other criteria. This will require you come out to the BackBooth in February and yell at me. You can also yell at the others, but I don’t think they will enjoy that as much as seeing me being yelled at. Come on. I know you want to. It’ll be cheap and early and lots of fun. Plus, you’ll get to hear some new songs.

Oy..that’s alot. Not only ALL of that is happening, but we’ve also got a new President. Not of the fan club, silly, of the Country. I think he’s doing a pretty good job so far, don’t you?

Tomorrow is Monday. There’s much work to be done. I’m going to go and start it now.
