Anyone's Guess Releases New Music-

This band makes me proud of our local music scene, but for some reason if you have been living in a cave without WIFI so you’re not familiar with this talented trio, this is the female-fronted band formed in our backyard in 2006. Capturing the attention of the underground music scene around 2012 in both the States and the UK. READ MORE HERE

Five Female Fronted Acts to Rock You to the Weekend-

Anyone’s Guess – “So Long”

Probably the hardest rock on the list, this Orlando based trio is set to make an equally as loud impact on 2017 with their fifth studio release Commitment Issues (January 6th). Their first single “So Long” is a classic rock tune for those who have been cheated on. “I’ll fill these rooms with screams and moans, one for every year you took, one for every one I lost” sings lead READ MORE HERE

Anyone’s Guess “March in the Dark: Chapter 2”- Hip Rock Magazine

I’ve admired Sonya’s vocals since I first put in the EP “March in the Dark” about a year ago.  This sweet natured woman with powerful vocals and words does something to me. I easily resonate with the emotion she puts forth in her lyrics. With a stellar group of musicians to support her and bring this emotion to life I was eagerly anticipating more. That time has come with Anyone’s Guess’s latest EP.

The first single I listened to was “Akrasia” which got pretty nice plays on Youtube.  I liked the vocal approach to this song and the words let me know that I was in for another recollection of my personal life experiences.

ARTS PICK: Anyone's Guess- Charlottesville Weekly

Anyone’s Guess lead singer, bass player and former resident Sanja Jovanovic said she can’t wait to return to Charlottesville, “and is also really excited about having a cup of coffee at the Mudhouse.” Brew it extra strong on Thursday when the band plays Fellini’s #9. VIew on C-Ville Weekly Here

Power rock trio Anyone’s Guess is currently based in Florida, but it’s a C’ville connection that shapes the band’s intensity. Frontwoman and former Bosnian refugee Sanja Jovanovic attended Charlottesville High School after assistance from the International Rescue Committee made it possible for her to come to America in 2002. Jovanovic made use of the local art scene, playing music on her own, and working with Lighthouse Studios to tell one family’s story of harrowing escape from the Taliban in her short film Sahar: Before the Sun.
Anyone’s Guess front woman rocks as hard as the boys do- The Daily Times

She doesn’t necessarily like it, but when she’s stereotyped as just another pretty face who adds a little eye candy to a rock ‘n’ roll band, she much prefers to get on stage as the vocalist and bass player for Anyone’s Guess and blow away whatever preconceptions they might have.
“It’s really a double-edged sword, because there’s a good side to it,” she told The Daily Times this week. “When you do put a female with an instrument out there, everybody’s interested in coming to see it, whether to see a female play or make fun of her because they’re not really

Anyone’s Guess :: March in the Dark – Chapter 1- Raz Matas Magazine

Modern rock in the mainstream media is becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially that of the calibre that up-and-comers Anyone’s Guess performs with. They have all the traits that make it alternative rock and tend not to stray too far from that cut-out template, though they make an impression. The vocalist makes the band reminiscent of Paramore and the overall tone would have the audience comparing them to Evanescence. March in the Dark – Chapter 1 is their premiere and showcases the unmistakable personality of the modern rock enthusiast trying to keep the rebellious nature alive.

Last, but certainly not least was more rock from Anyone’s Guess. They had been added fairly last minute, thanks to help from Edisun, and the Florida trio couldn’t have been happier to not “waste a day”, and get a gig. Again, with little or no crowd to play for, they powered through an inspired set. Sanja Jovanovic (lead vocal/bass) reminded me of a darker, REAL punk rock version of Avril Lavigne. She had more edge than the alt-pop princess could every hope to fake.

Sanja Jovanovic of Hard Rock/Alternative band Anyone's Guess-

One look at Sanja from Anyone's Guess and you'll probably go deep into puppy love. Her sparkling eyes, small frame and flowing hair just scream "beautiful!"  But what can make a person's heart melt is her perseverence, sense of humor and wisdom. There is no air in this bombshell's head!
It's just human nature to notice good looks. But at Hip Rock Magazine, it takes way more than that. With a commanding and ever improving musical sound, the ability to have a great conversation and feel warmth and compassion in her delivery, Sanja is a great example of a completely impressive package.
We got a bit of time with her as they are wrapping up their upcoming EP in the fall. Check out our exclusive interview as well as some jaw dropping pictures and excellent music!

Interview with Sanja Jovanovic of Anyone's Guess
Guitar Girl Magazine

Last month on this site, we featured an interview with bassist Amanda Hamers and guitarist Rich Keane of Sunshine & Bullets.
That interview, of course, took place back in early April, when Sunshine & Bullets headlined an event in downtown St. Pete that was a release party for their current album Triangulum Mechanism.  While there, I also got to interview a woman who, like Amanda Hamers, also plays bass and sings, and whose band got to open that night for Sunshine & Bullets.
Serbian-born Sanja Jovanovic fronts a band out of the Orlando area called Anyone’s Guess, which has been around for about 8 years.  Together with guitarist Clint Chambers and drummer Matthew McCormick, this trio delivers a unique mix of hard rock and alternative sounds.  How so?  When  blogger Amanda Darrock of Wordkrapht reviewed their EP from earlier this year,March in the Dark, Chapter One, she described their sound as “addictive, raw, dark and core-shaking.”  Having watched them live, I would say those words carry over onto the stage, particularly the “dark” part, as witnessed by songs like “Apathy,” “Hunter,” and “Leavin’,” which they’ve been licensing for potential soundtrack play.

Artist: Anyone’s Guess

The women of rock have been doing incredibly well recently. With groups like We Are The In Crowd and Tonight Alive pretty much never stepping off the road and Revolver announcing their Hottest Chick In Hard Rock tour, there’s never been a better time for female rockers than now. Anyone’s Guess are the latest female-fronted outfit to blow HTF HQ away, bringing forth a powerful EP, entitled March In The Dark – Chapter 1.

Sanja Jovanovic From Anyone's Guess Interview

Where did the name Anyone's Guess come from?
We played around with several name ideas, but Anyone's Guess stuck out because the original line-up was so musically different that we had no idea what we're going to "give birth" to. It was actually the original drummer's idea. Our first choice was Counterpoint, but then we realized it was already many bands.

In tune with Sanja Jovanovic

“I remember one of our first shows,” said Sanja Jovanovic, guitarist and lead vocalist for Orlando bandAnyone’s Guess. “We played with this rich ‘mom and dad bought us expensive equipment’ band and their guitarist came to introduce himself to the guys and when he got to me he said ‘Whose girlfriend are you?’ I told him I was a groupie. He got really embarrassed when I showed up on stage later that night.”
Of course it’s not always like that for Anyone’s Guess and Jovanovic. “[There are] not a lot of female guitarist-fronted bands in Orlando, so I think that scores us cool points rather than a hard time.”
